No. 18-216/2002-INC.— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order: Whereas, Satguru Institute of Nursing Education, Khassi Kalan, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana, Punjab was recognized by the State Government of Punjab and Punjab Nurses Registration Council to conduct the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. Whereas, the Department of Medical Education & Research, Government of Punjab, vide Memo No. DMER/V1156263/2025 dated 21.07.2025, forwarded its recommendation for cancellation/withdrawal of suitability of the said institution. Whereas, the matter was placed before the Executive Committee of the Indian Nursing Council in its meeting held on 11.09.2025, and after due consideration of the Government recommendation and relevant provisions under the Act, the Committee recommended withdrawal of suitability. Now, therefore, the recognition of Satguru Institute of Nursing Education, Khassi Kalan, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana, Punjab, for conducting the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course is hereby withdrawn with effect from 11.09.2025.
