L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-24072024-255701 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2776] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, JULY 23, 2024/ SHRAVANA 1, 1946 MINISTRY OF POWER ORDER New Delhi, the 23rd July, 2024 S.O. 2913(E).— Whereas M/s Butwal - Gorakhpur Cross Border Power Transmission Limited (Joint Venture of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Nepal Electricity Authority) having its registered address at Saudamini, Plot No 2 Sector-29, Gurgaon, Haryana-122001, India has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line under the transmission scheme “Implementation of Cross Border Interconnection Transmission System". And whereas, Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter No. 25-17/16/2023-PG dated 21.08.2023 had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the overhead line covered under the transmission scheme “Implementation of Cross Border Interconnection Transmission System". M/s Butwal - Gorakhpur Cross Border Power Transmission Limited (Joint Venture of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Nepal Electricity Authority) had published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers The Times of India (in English) dated 24.11.2023, Amar Ujala (in Hindi) dated 24.11.2023, and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 24.02.2024 for the general public to make observations / representations on the proposed transmission route within 2 Months from the date of publication. Subsequently, M/s Butwal - Gorakhpur Cross Border Power Transmission Limited (Joint Venture of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Nepal Electricity Authority) has submitted an affidavit dated 21.06.2024 declaring that no observation/representation was received within 2 Months from the date of Publication in the official gazette of Government of India. And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possesses under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so established or maintained for laying of electric lines under the transmission scheme “Implementation of Cross Border Interconnection Transmission System". The following overhead line is covered under this scheme: 1. Indian Portion of Gorakhpur (India) - New Butwal (Nepal) 400 kV D/c (Quad Moose) overhead transmission line (Gorakhpur to Indian Border: Village: Araji Bairia, District - Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh) The transmission line covered under the above scheme will pass through, over, around and between the following villages, towns and cities of Uttar Pradesh:
