New Delhi, the June 24th, 2026
S.O. 3372(E). - In pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of
1951), the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the seat in the Council
of States of one member, who retired on 23rd June, 2026, on the expiration of his term of office, is published
for general information:-
DECLARATION
Election to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of
Arunachal Pradesh.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in under sub- section (2)/ sub-section (3) of section 53 of
the Representation of the People Act, 1951, read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections
Rules, 1961, I declare that -

S.O. 3373(E).— Whereas election has been held, in pursuance of notification number S.O. 2754 (E),
dated 1st June, 2026 issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for
the purpose of filling the seat of one member of the Council of States elected by the elected members of the
Legislative Assembly of the State of Arunachal Pradesh which fell vacant on the retirement of one member
on the expiration of his term of office on 23rd June, 2026;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of
1951), the name of the member elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of
Arunachal Pradesh is hereby notified for general information:
