The Ministry of Power, by S.O. 5044(E) dated 21st November 2024, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 162 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) read with the Qualifications, Powers and Functions of Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors Rules, 2006 (notified 17.8.2006 and amended 16.05.2016), appoints officers of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) - Devinder Singh Parmar (SAG, GGM/Traction, B.Tech) as Chief Electrical Inspector, and Om Shankar Prasad (SG, GM/OHE, Electrical Engineering) and Dharmendra Meena (E4, DGM/Elect., B.Tech Electrical) as Electrical Inspectors - effective from the date of the notification until their tenure in NCRTC ends or until further orders, subject to fulfillment of qualifications and conditions under the said Rules; the officers will exercise powers over electrical works, installations and rolling stock within NCRTC-controlled areas per the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010, are barred from acting as inspectors for works under their own responsibility, and must undergo Central Government-prescribed training; the notification (F. It shall be ensured that the above said officers shall not function as Chief Electrical Inspector/Electrical Inspectors in respect of any electrical work or installation, the execution or maintenance of which is their responsibility. The officers appointed as Chief Electrical Inspector/Electrical Inspectors shall undergo such training as the Central Government may consider necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
