NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2 2nd September, 2023
S.O. 41 97(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal, number
S.O. 6189(E), dated the 30th December, 2022, issued under sub -section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 ( 20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), published in the
Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section (ii), dated the 30th December, 2022, the Central Government gave
notice of its intention to acquire the lands measuring 424.69 hectar es (approximately) or 1049.43 acres
(approximately) and all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the
Central Government;
And whereas, the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Jharkhand, is satisfied that the lands measuring 424.69 hectares (approximately) or 1049.43 acres
(approximately) and al l rights in or over such lands as described in the said Schedule appended here to should be
acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby declares that the land me asuring 424.69 hectares (approximately) or 1049.43 acres
(approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in the said Schedule are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number PVUNL/BAN/P2/SEC -9(1), dated the 1st May, 2023 of the area cover ed by this
notification may be inspected at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, District Latehar -829206, Jharkhand or at the
office of the Coal Controller, Office of the Coal Controller’s Organization, Ministry of Coal, Core -2, 5th Floor, Scope
Minar, L axmi Nagar, Delhi -110 092 or at the office of the DGM(CM -Civil), Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited,
Patratu, District Ramgarh -829119, Jharkhand or at the office of the of the Additional General Manager (CM), Patratu
