M/s Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited also submitted an undertaking dated March 31, 2026, affirming that the proposed route is outside the Revised Great Indian Bustard (GIB) Priority Area of Rajasthan and Gujarat, and committed to comply with the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India's judgment dated December 19, 2025, in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 838 of 2019. The transmission line will pass through villages including Babia, Tumbadi Moti, Ramania, Beraja, Bocha, Gelada, Karaghogha, Depa, Nani Khakhar, Moti Khakhar, Desalpar in Mundra Taluka, and Faradi in Mandavi Taluka, all within Kachchh District, Gujarat. Vaishno Devi Circle, SG Highway, Khodiyar, Ahmedabad-382421, Gujarat, India has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line under the transmission scheme, "Transmission System for providing Interim Connectivity to Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in Kachchh, Gujarat". And whereas, Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter No. 25-17/53/2025-PG dated 25.11.2025 had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the overhead line covered under the transmission scheme "Transmission System for providing Interim Connectivity to Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in Kachchh, Gujarat". M/s Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited had published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers The Indian Express (in English) dated 09.12.2025, Rajasthan Patrika (in Hindi) dated 09.12.2025, Gujarat Samachar (in Gujarati) dated 09.12.2025 and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 03.01.2026 for the general public to make observations/representations on the proposed transmission route within 2 months from the date of publication. Subsequently, M/s Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited has submitted an affidavit dated 15.05.2026 declaring that no observation/representation was received within 2 months from the date of Publication in the official gazette of Government of India and within 2 months from the date of newspaper publications. M/s Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited has submitted an Undertaking dated 31.03.2026 stating that the route of the proposed overhead transmission line(s) is located outside the Revised Great Indian Bustard (GIB) Priority Area of Rajasthan and Gujarat, as referred to in the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 19.12.2025 in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 838 of 2019; the applicant has further undertaken to comply with all directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court as contained in the said judgment as well as with any subsequent directions issued by the competent authorities in pursuance of the above order by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, and has also stated that the transmission line alignment has been optimized, in such a way that they share maximum common stretch to the extent possible. And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so established or maintained for laying of electric lines under the transmission scheme, "Transmission System for providing Interim Connectivity to Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in Kachchh, Gujarat". The approval is granted for 25 years. ii. The Applicant shall have to seek the consent of the concerned authorities i.e., local bodies, Railways, National Highways, State Highways etc. before erection of proposed line. iii. The Applicant shall have to follow regulations/codes of the Appropriate Commission regarding transmission, O&M, open access, etc., framed under Electricity Act, 2003. iv. The Applicant shall operate the line after approval of Electrical Inspector / Chief Electrical Inspector of Central Government. v. The approval is subject to compliance of the requirement of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made there under by the applicant. vi. M/s Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Limited shall have to submit the requisite clearances to Central Electricity Authority after obtaining the same from concerned authorities like Civil Aviation, Defense etc., at the time of Electrical Inspection. vii. In case, the route of above overhead lines (or some portion of the route of above overhead line) falls in the Revised Great Indian Bustard (GIB) area, the applicant has to comply with the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in its order dated 19.12.2025 in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 838 of 2019 and any other directions given by competent authorities in pursuance of the above order by Hon'ble Supreme Court.
