Indian Nursing Council withdraws recognition of Kalinga Nursing School, Odisha for conducting ANM course due to deficiencies, effective from October 26, 2024.

Detailed Summary

The Indian Nursing Council issues a withdrawal order regarding the recognition of Kalinga Nursing School located in Balasore, Odisha. The decision follows an inspection report dated January 29, 2024, which revealed significant deficiencies in the institution, particularly concerning clinical and teaching facilities, rendering it unsuitable for conducting the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) course. Consequently, effective October 26, 2024, any individual holding an ANM qualification from Kalinga Nursing School will only be eligible for registration within the State of Odisha, subject to the orders of the Odisha State Government.
