Core Purpose

Indian Nursing Council withdraws recognition of Rai School of Nursing, Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh for GNM and B.Sc.(N) courses due to identified deficiencies.

Detailed Summary

The Indian Nursing Council issues a withdrawal order, effective from October 26, 2024, for the recognition granted to Rai School of Nursing located in Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, for conducting General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing [B.Sc.(N)] courses. This decision follows a notice issued on May 9, 2024, regarding the withdrawal of recognition, prompted by an inspection report dated December 15, 2023, which revealed significant deficiencies, particularly in clinical and teaching facilities. The Council notes that despite requesting recommendations from the Madhya Pradesh State Government regarding the institution's suitability, no response was received, nor did Rai School of Nursing respond to the issued notices. As a result of these deficiencies, the institution is deemed incapable of adequately running the GNM and B.Sc.(N) programs. Consequently, individuals holding GNM and B.Sc.(N) qualifications from Rai School of Nursing after the specified date will only be eligible for registration as nurses within the State of Madhya Pradesh.
