NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2 1st December , 2023
S.O. 5404(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O.
779, dated the 26th August, 2022, issued under sub -section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and
Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India,
Part II, section 3, sub -section (ii), dated the 3rd September, 2022, the Central Government gave notice of its intention
to acquire all rights in or over the land measuring 26 7.12 acres (approximately) or 108.10 hectares (approximately) in
the locality specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the
Central Governm ent;
And whereas, the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Jharkhand, is satisfied that all rights in or over the land measuring 267.12 acres (approximately) or
108.10 hectares (approximately) a s described in the Schedule annexed hereto is required to acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that all rights in or over the land measuring 267.12 acres (approximately) or
108.10 hectares (approximately) as described in the said Schedule are hereby acquired .
The plan bearing number Rev/03/2023, dated the 31st July, 2023 of the area covered by this notification may
be inspected at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, District – Ramgarh (Jharkhand) or at the Office of Coal
Controller, Coal Controller’s Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core – II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi -
110092 or at the Office of the General Hazaribagh Area , District – Ramgarh (Jharkhand) or at the Office of General
Manager, Land and Revenue, Central Coalfields Limited, Darbhanga House, Ranchi - 834001, Jharkhand or at the
