MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICAT ION New Delhi, the 20th November , 2023 S.O. 4 989(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 1076, dated the 18th December, 2020, issued under sub -section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, section 3, sub -section (ii), dated the 19th December, 2020, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire all rights in or over the land measuring 2201.342 hectares (approximately) or 5439.51 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule appended to that notificat ion; And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made this report to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the Government of Chhatti sgarh, is satisfied that all rights in or over the lands measuring 1937.202 hectares (approximately) or 4786.82 acres (approximately) and as described in Schedule appended hereto, are required to be acquired; Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conf erred by sub -section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that all rights in or over the land measuring 1937.202 hectares (approximately) or 4786.82 acres (approximately) as described in Schedule are hereby acquired. The Plan bearing number SECL/BSP/GM/(L&R)/Land/ 04, dated the 7th August, 2023 of the area covered by this notification may be inspected in the Office of the Collector, District Balrampur and Collector, District Surajpur (Chhattisgarh) or in the office of th e Coal Controller, Coal Controller’s Organisation, (Ministry of Coal), Scope Minar, 5th floor, Core -2, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi -110092 or in the Office of the South Eastern Coalfield Limited (Revenue Section), Seepat Road.
