The Ministry of Coal, by Notification S.O. 4120(E) dated 19th September 2023, states that it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from land described in the annexed Schedule, per plan bearing number C-I(E)/III/JJR/0723/1001 dated 13th July 2023 (available for inspection at the offices of Western Coalfields Limited, Nagpur; the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Ranchi, Jharkhand; the Coal Controller's Organisation, Delhi; and the District Collector, Yavatmal, Maharashtra), and, exercising powers under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), gives notice of intention to prospect for coal on the land described in the Schedule for the Kolgaon Expansion Opencast Mine in Wani Area, District Yavatmal, Maharashtra, spanning four blocks in villages Chikali (Block I, 4.98 hectares), Takli (Block II, 16.29 hectares), Kolgaon (Block III, 4.79 hectares) and Yenak (Block IV, 119.68 hectares), totalling 145.74 hectares (approximately 360.12 acres); interested persons may claim compensation under section 6 for damage caused under sub-section (3) of section 4, or under sub-section (1)/(4) of section 13 for cessation of prospecting licence/mining lease, and must deliver related maps and documents within ninety days of publication to the Area General Manager, Western Coalfields Limited, Wani Area, or the General Manager (Land and Revenue), Western Coalfields Limited, Nagpur; signed by Bhabani Prasad Pati, Joint Secretary, under F.
