New Delhi, the 21st June, 2024.
S.O.2421(E).—In pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the
following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the seat in the Council of States from the
State of Maharashtra that fell vacant on 27th February, 2024 by the resignation of Shri Praful Patel, before the
expiration of his term of office which was up to and including 04th July, 2028, is published for general information:-
Declaration
Bye-Election to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra to
fill the vacancy of Shri Praful Patel.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Representation of the People
Act, 1951, read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, I declare that -
