L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-21022024-252280 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 778] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2024/PHALGUNA 2, 1945 1184 GI/2024 (1) MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 21st February, 2024 S.O. 815(E).-Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto; And, whereas, the plan bearing number NMDC/Coal/Tokisud/CBA/4(1)/2, dated the 29th May, 2023, containing details of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the NMDC Limited, 10-3-311/A, Castle hills, Masab Tank, Hyderabad- 500 028 or at the office of the NMDC Limited, Coal Division, 2nd Floor, JSFC Bhawan, Kadru, Ranchi 834002, Jharkhand or at the office of Deputy Commissioner District Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) or at the office of the Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi-834 001 (Jharkhand) or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th floor, Core-II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-110 092; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule; Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or (ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Act in respect of prospecting licenses ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the office of the Executive Director (Coal), NMDC Limited, Coal Division, 2nd Floor, JSFC Bhawan, Kadru, Ranchi ( Jharkhand ) within period of ninety days from the date of publication to this notification in the Official Gazette.
