NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th January, 2026
S.O. 273(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 162 of the Electricity Act,
2003 (36 of 2003) read with Qualifications, Powers and Functions of Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors
Rules, 2006 (hereinafter called the said Rules), notified on 17.08.2006 and as amended on 16.05.2016, the Central
Government hereby appoints the following officer of Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) as Chief
Electrical Inspector for Nagpur Metro Rail Project (NMRP) from the date of this Notification till his tenure
in Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) or till further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to
fulfillment of the qualifications and conditions mentioned in the said Rules:-

The above mentioned officer shall exercise the powers and perform his functions in respect of electrical works,
electrical installations and electrical rolling stock in operation within the areas occupied by MMRCL in respect of work
and electrical installations under the control of MMRCL/belonging to MMRCL as per the procedure laid down in
Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010, as amended from
time to time.
It shall be ensured that above mentioned officer shall not function as Chief Electrical Inspector in respect of
any electrical work or installation, for which, execution or maintenance is his responsibility.
The officer appointed as Chief Electrical Inspector shall undergo such training as the Central Government may
consider necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
