His duties encompass exercising powers and performing functions related to electrical works, electrical installations, and electrical rolling stock within the areas occupied by MMRCL, adhering to the procedures outlined in the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010, as amended. A key condition specifies that he shall not function as Chief Electrical Inspector for any electrical work or installation for which he holds responsibility for execution or maintenance. It shall be ensured that above mentioned officer shall not function as Chief Electrical Inspector in respect of any electrical work or installation, for which, execution or maintenance is his responsibility.
