8200 GI/202 4 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5083] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY , DECEMBER 19, 2024 /AGRAHAYANA 28 , 194 6 CG-DL-E-19122024-259535 MINISTRY OF POWER NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 18th December, 2024 S.O. 5491(E). —In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section(1) of section 162 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) read with Qualifications, Powers and Functions of Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors Rules, 2006 (hereinafter called the said Rules) notified on 17.8.2006 and as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Rajesh Tulshiram Patil, Executive Director (Electrical), Nagpur Metro, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) as Chief Electrical Inspector for Pune Metro Rail Project (PMRP) from the date of this Notification till his tenure in MMRCL ends or until further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to fulfillment of the qualifications and conditions mentioned in the said Rules. The above mentioned officer shall exercise the powers and perform his functions in respect of electrical works, electrical installations and electrical rolling stock , in operation, within the areas occupied by MMRCL or in respect of works and electrical installations under the control of MMRCL / belonging to MMRCL as per the procedure provided in Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric S upply) Regulations, 2023, as amended from time to time. It shall be ensured that above said officer shall not function as the Chief Electrical Inspector in respect of any electrical work or installation, for which, execution or maintenance is his responsib ility. The officer appointed as Chief Electrical Inspector shall undergo such training as the Central Government may consider necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
