S.O. 864(E).— Whereas M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd., having its registered address at "Samanvay"
600, Tapovan, Ambavadi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-380015, has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the
Electricity Act, 2003 for installation of the dedicated overhead transmission line included in the transmission system
for providing connectivity to M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in Bagalkot,
Karnataka.
And whereas, Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter No. 25-17/61/2024-PG dated
20.06.2024, had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for installation of the
dedicated overhead transmission line included in the transmission system for providing connectivity to M/s Torrent
Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in Bagalkot, Karnataka.
M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. has published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers
Deccan Herald (in English) dated 02.07.2024, Rajasthan Patrika (in Hindi) dated 02.07.2024, Vijaya Vani and
Samyukta Karnataka (both in Kannada) dated 02.07.2024 and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 03.08.2024 for the
public to make observations/representations on the proposed transmission route within two Months from the date of
publication. Subsequently, M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. has submitted an affidavit dated 12.11.2024 declaring
that no observation/representation was received within two months from the date of Publication in the official gazette
of Government of India.
And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity
Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of
telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so
established or maintained for installation of the dedicated overhead transmission line included in the transmission
system for providing connectivity to M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. for its 300 MW Wind Power Project in
Bagalkot, Karnataka. The following overhead line is covered under this scheme:
1. 220 kV Generation pooling station of M/s Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Pvt. Ltd. at Somalapur Village, Bagalkot
District - Koppal-II PS (ISTS S/s) 220 kV line
The transmission line covered under the above scheme will pass through, over, around and between the following
villages, towns and cities of Karnataka:
