S.O. 3945(E).— In pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the
following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the seat in the Council of States from the State
of West Bengal that fell vacant on 11th June, 2026 by reason of resignation of Shri Prakash Chik Baraik, before the
expiration of his term of office which was up to and including 18th August, 2029, is published for general information:-

Bye-Election to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of West Bengal.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951,
read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, I declare that -
