L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-17072024-255491 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2643] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2024/ASHADHA 25, 1946 4269 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF COOPERATION NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th July 2024 S.O. 2779(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section (1) of Section 120A of the Multi- State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 (39 of 2002) [inserted vide section 44 of the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment Act, 2023 (11 of 2023)], the Central Government hereby notifies that the provisions of section 120A relating to “Filing of applications, documents, inspections, and the like in electronic form” shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the date of commencement of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Act 2023. Explanatory Memorandum For the purposes of this notification, it is hereby clarified that the provisions of Section 120A of the Multi-State Co- operative Societies Act, 2002 (39 of 2002) provides that with effect from such date as may be notified, the filing of applications, documents, inspection, and the like under this Act should be in electronic form and the process in respect of the same has already been initiated with effect from the date of commencement of the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act,2023 (11 of 2023). In this regard, it is apparent to notify such date with retrospective effect. By bringing this notification with retrospective effect, the interest of no person shall be adversely affected.
