General MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th December, 2024 G.S.R. 769(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4, 5 sub-section (2) of section 10, 10-А, 10-B,12, 12-A, 12-B and read with section 14 of the Aircraft Act, 1934 (22 of 1934), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2023, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement. - (l)These rules may be called the Aircraft (Security) Amendment Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2023,(hereinafter referred to as the principal rules), after rule 29, the following rule shall be inserted, namely: - "29A. Reserved right of admission in aircraft.- Irrespective of anything contained in rule 29, the Director General may, if he is satisfied that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the interest of security, issue such directions in writing to,- (a) refuse admission to any person or group of persons in the aircraft; or (b) require any person or group of persons to leave the aircraft.”. 3. In the said rules, after rule 30, the following rule shall be inserted, namely: - [PART II—SECTION 3(i)] THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY 3 "30A. Prohibition to communicate false information.- No person shall communicate false information so as to,- (a) jeopardize the safety and security of an aircraft, aerodrome or civil aviation facility or both; (b) cause panic among passengers, crew and ground personnel or the general public; or (c) disrupt the civil aviation operation.". 4. In the said rules, in Table II of the Second Schedule, after item 17 and the entries relating thereto, the following item and entries shall be inserted, namely:- “17 Α. | Contravention of rule 29A in respect of reserved right | rule 29A | Level-6 of admission in aircraft 17 B. | Contravention of rule 30A in respect of prohibition to | rule 30A | Level-6”. communicate false information [F.
