Shimoga 577429, Karnataka is recognized by State Government of Karnataka and Karnataka Nursing Council to conduct GNM course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-15/15013-INC dated 19/07/2022 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Room No. 105, 01st Floor, Vikas Souda, Bangalore – 560001, Karnataka was issued. Copy of the notice dated 19/07/2022 was also enclosed to H P R Institute of Nursing Sciences situated at Sudhanva Hospital Complex, Opp Ib, Soraba- 577429 Shivamogga., Shivamogga, Distt. Shimoga 577429, Karnataka. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of H P R Institute of Nursing Sciences. Even the institution H P R Institute of Nursing Sciences has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 07/01/2022 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) declares that with effect from 16/11/2022 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from H P R Institute of Nursing Sciences situated at Sudhanva Hospital Complex,Opp Ib,Soraba-577429 Shivamogga., Shivamogga, Distt. Shimoga 577429, Karnataka shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Karnataka subject to the orders of State government of Karnataka. Lt.
