L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-16022026-270185 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 128] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2026/MAGHA 27, 1947 MINISTRY OF EARTH SCIENCES (National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th February, 2026 G.S.R. 134(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) of section 70 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (amended 2008), the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) hereby declares the following systems and their underlying computer resources of the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), to be Protected System for the purpose of said Act. (a) Arunika HPC System Further, as per sub-section (2) of Section 70 of IT Act 2000 (amended 2008), personnel authorized to have role- based access to these Protected Systems:- a) Designated NCMRWF and MoES employees authorized by head of NCMRWF to access the Protection System; b) NVMRWF and MoES authorized team members of contractual Managed Service Provider or third-party vendor(s) (if any) who have been given need-based access; c) External consultants, regulators, government officials, auditors and stakeholders authorized by NCMRWF and MOES on case-to-case basis. 2.
