The Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department) published the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 2024 (No. 12 of 2024), which received the assent of the President on 15th February 2024, enacted by Parliament in exercise of powers vested under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, authorising payment and application of sums from the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir amounting in aggregate to seventy-five thousand nine hundred thirty-one crore, ninety-six lakh and ninety-nine thousand rupees (Rs. 75,931,96,99,000) for services during financial year 2024-25, appropriated per the Schedule for numerous departments including General Administration, Home, Planning, Information, Mining, Power Development, Education, Finance, Parliamentary Affairs, Law, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Revenue, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Public Works, Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, Housing and Urban Development, Tourism, Forest, Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Hospitality and Protocol, Labour Stationery and Printing, and Fisheries Departments, with amounts split between Revenue and Capital, and between sums Voted by Parliament and sums Charged on the Consolidated Fund (e.g. Finance Department Revenue Rs. 7304,13,09,000 voted plus Rs. 5135,82,78,000 charged, totalling Rs. 12439,95,87,000, and Finance Department Capital totalling Rs. 22943,40,64,000).

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventy-fifth Year of the Republic of India, in exercise of powers vested under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.2) Act, 2024. Short title. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of seventy-five thousand nine hundred thirty-one crore, ninety-six lakh and ninety-nine thousand rupees towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the financial year 2024-25 in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. Issue of Rs.75931,96,99,000 out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmirfor the financial year 2024-25. 3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule in relation to the said year.
