NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th September , 2023
S.O. 4070(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the
land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
And whereas, the plan bearing number C -I(E)/III/JJJR/0623/999, dated the 8th June, 2023, containing details
of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Western Coalfields Limited
(Revenue Department), Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur – 440 001 (Maharashtra) or at the office of the Chief General
Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwan a Palace, Kanke
Road, Ranchi – 834 001, Jharkhand or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organistion, Ministry of
Coal, Scope Minar, 5th floor, Core -2, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi -110092 or at the office of the District Collector, District
Chand rapur (Maharashtra);
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government hereb y gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule ;
Any persons interested in the land descr ibed in the said Schedules may —
(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused
by any action taken under sub -section (3) of section 4 of the said Act ; or
(ii) claim compensation under sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting
license ceasing to have effect or under sub -section (4) of section 13 of the said Act, for mining
lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the
aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of
sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the Office of the Area General Manager, Western Coalfields Limited, Ballarpur Area, Post Sasti, Tahsil
Rajura, District Chandrapur (Maharashtra), or General Manager (Land and Revenue), Western Coalfields Limited,
Land and Revenue Dep artment, Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur – 440 001 (Maharashtra) within a period of ninety
days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

Boundary description:
A – B : Line starts from point ‘A’ on the common village boundary of Kadholi and Kolgaon, passes towards east
direction and meets at point ‘B’ on the common village boundary of Kadholi and Kolgaon.
B – C : Line starts from po int ‘B’ and passes along s outh-east or outer boundary of village Kolgaon and meets at
point ‘C’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
C – D : Line starts from point ‘C’ and passes along s outh-east boundary or outer boundary of village Kolgaon and
meets at poi nt ‘D’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
D – E : Line starts from point ‘D’ and passes along s outh-east boundary outer or boundary of village Kolgaon and
meets at point ‘E’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
E – F: Line starts from point ‘E’ and passes along the outer boundary of village Kolgaon and meets at point ‘F’ at
boundary of village Kolgaon.
F– G: Line starts from point ‘F’ and passes along south or outer boundary of village Kolgaon and meets at point
‘G’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
G – H: Line s tarts from point ‘G’ and passes towards west direction along outer boundary of already acquired land
for Sasti Underground to Opencast mine and meets at point ‘G’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
H – I : Line starts from point ‘H’ and passes towards north- west direction along outer boundary of already
acquired land for Sasti Underground to Opencast mine and meets at point ‘I’ at boundary of village

I – J : Line starts from point ‘I’ and passes towards west direction along outer boundary of a lready acquired land
for Sasti Underground to Opencast mine and meets at point ‘J’ of village Kolgaon.
J – K: Line starts from point ‘J’ and passes towards north-west direction along outer boundary of already acquired
land for Sasti Underground to Opencas t mine and meets at point ‘K’ at boundary of village Kolgaon.
K – L: Line starts from point ‘K’ and passes along outer boundary of already acquired land for Sasti Underground
to Opencast mine of village Kolgaon, cross the common village boundary of Kolgao n and Manoli, passes
along outer boundary of already acquired land for Sasti Underground to Opencast mine of village Manoli
and meets at point ‘L’ at boundary of village Manoli.
L– M : Line starts from point ‘L’ passes in south direction along outer boun dary of already acquired land for Sasti
Underground to Opencast mine and meets at point number ‘M’ at boundary of village Manoli.
M – N: Line starts from point ‘M’ and passes in west direction along outer boundary of already acquired land for
Sasti Unde rground to Opencast mine and meets at point ‘N’ at common village boundary of Manoli and
Kadholi.
N– O : Line starts from point ‘N’ and passes along common village boundary of Manoli and Kadholi or outer
boundary of village Manoli and meets at point ‘O ’ at common village boundary of Kadholi -Manoli and
Kolgaon.
O – P : Line starts from point ‘O’ and passes along common village boundary of Kolgaon and Kadholi and then
cross road of village Kolgaon and then meets at point ‘P’ at common village boundary of Kadholi and
Kolgaon.
P – A : Line starts from point ‘P’ and passes along outer boundary of village Kolgaon and meets at point ‘A’ of
common village boundary of Kadholi and Kolgaon.
