NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th June, 2026
[PART II-SEC. 3(ii)]
S.O. 2978(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001), the Central Government, in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, hereby repeals the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Power, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 1034 (E), dated the 9th March, 2018, relating to the Standards and Labelling Program for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps, with effect from the 1st July, 2026.
The repeal of the said notification shall not affect anything done or omitted to be done before the commencement of this notification, and such actions shall be deemed to have been done or omitted under the provisions of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.

Note: The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, section 3, sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 1034 (E), dated the 9th March, 2018, and subsequently amended vide numbers S.O. 1930 (E), dated the 9th June, 2020 and S.O. 2789 (E) dated the 27th June, 2023.

S.O. 2979(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) and clause (d) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001), the Central Government, in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, hereby repeals the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Power, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 1033(E), dated the 9th March, 2018, relating to the Standards and Labelling Program for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps, with effect from the 1st July, 2026.
