THE CONSTITUTION (SCHEDULED CASTES) ORDER
(AMENDMENT) ACT , 2023
NO. 24 OF 2023
[12th August , 2023.]
An Act further to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order , 1950
to modify the list of Scheduled Castes in the State of Chhattisgarh.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India as
follows:—
1. This Act may be called the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment)
Act, 2023.Short title.MINISTR Y OF LA W AND JUSTICE

2. In the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order , 1950, in the Schedule, in Part XXIII.—
Chhattisgarh , for entry 33, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:—
"33. Mahar , Mahara, Mahra, Mehar , Mehra".
