THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY CG-DL-E-13072023-247303 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 12th July, 2023 S.O. 3116(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that coal is likely to be obtained in the areas specified in the Schedule below, situated in the District of Angul, State of Odisha, and considers it necessary to acquire the rights in or over the said land for the purpose of searching for and obtaining coal therein; Note 1.—The declaration of intention to acquire the land specified below has been made under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957). Note 2.—Any person interested in the said land may, within thirty days of the publication of this notification, object to the acquisition thereof under section 5 of the said Act. Note 3.—Any person referred to in Note 2 shall, if he wishes to be heard, state so specifically in his objection. Note 4.—A copy of this notification and of the Schedule has been sent to the State Government and to the Collector of the District, with a direction under section 4(3) that public notice of the substance of this notification be given at convenient places in the locality. Section 8 (explanatory note as extracted): Where any land in respect of which a notification has been published under section 4 is required for the purpose of prospecting for coal, the competent authority may, after the expiry of the objection period, authorise entry upon and prospecting of such land.
