Appointment of Shri Jaipal Singh as Chief Electrical Inspector for MMRCL

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-13022024-252047 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 604] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2024/MAGHA 24, 1945 959 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF POWER NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 12th February, 2024 S.O. 635(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section(1) of section 162 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) read with Qualifications, Powers and Functions of Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors Rules, 2006 (herein after called the "said Rules") notified on 17.08.2006 and as amended on 16.05.2016, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Jaipal Singh, General Manager/Rolling Stock as Chief Electrical Inspector for Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL), from the date of this Notification till his tenure in MMRCL or further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to fulfillment of the conditions as mentioned in the said Rules. The above mentioned officer shall exercise the powers and perform his functions in respect of electrical works, electrical installations and electrical rolling stock in operation within the areas occupied by the MMRCL or in respect of works and electrical installations under the control of MMRCL/ belonging to MMRCL as per the procedure provided in Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010, as amended from time to time. It shall be ensured that Shri Jaipal Singh shall not function as the Chief Electrical Inspector in respect of the work assigned to him as General Manager/Rolling Sock,MMRCL. The person appointed as Chief Electrical Inspector shall undergo such training as the Central Government may consider necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
