RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 11th June, 2025
F. No. E-11016/1/2024 Hindi. — Hindi: In pursuance of OM No. II/20015/45/87-0L (I-2), dated 15th March,
1986 and OM No. II/20015/45/87-O.L. (I-2), dated 4.5.1989 of Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official
Language and in supersession of Ministry of Coal's Resolution No. E 11016/1/2019 Hindi dated 06th January, 2017 and
19th September, 2021, Ministry of Coal, Government of India has decided to reconstitute the Hindi Salahkar Samiti.
The composition, functions, tenure etc. of this Samiti will be as per the following format:

2. Functions of the Samiti
The function of this Samiti will be to advise on the implementation of the Official Language provisions in the
Constitution, provisions of Acts and Rules, decisions of the Kendriya Hindi Samiti and the directives and instructions
issued by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs as per the policies laid down regarding the
use of Hindi in official work and to promote the progressive use of Hindi in the Ministry of Coal and its subordinate
offices/autonomous bodies/companies.
3. Tenure
(i) Term of the Samiti will be ordinarily for three years from the date of its constitution, provided.
(ii) A member of Parliament nominated to the Samiti will cease to be the member of the Samiti as soon as he ceases
to be member of Parliament ;
(iii) Ex-officio Members of the Samiti shall continue to be members as long as they hold office by virtue of which,
they are members of this Samiti.
(iv) If a vacancy arises in the Samiti due to death or resignation from the membership of the Samiti by any member,
the member so appointed against that vacancy, will hold office for the residual term of three years; and
(v) In special circumstances, the tenure of the Samiti may be curtailed or extended by Ministry of Coal.
4. GENERAL
The Headquarters of the Samiti shall be at New Delhi, but if considered necessary it may hold its meetings at
any other place also.
5. T.A. AND OTHER ALLOWANCES
(a) The Members of Parliament nominated in the Samiti, will be paid Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance
as per the provisions in the "Members of Parliament (Salary, Allowance & Pension) Act, 1954" and
amendments issued from time to time and rules made thereunder vide Department of Official Language
Office Memorandum No. II/20034/04/2005-O.L (Policy-2), dated 03 February, 2006 for participating in
meetings of the Samiti.
(b) Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance to other non-official members of the Samiti, will be paid as per the
guidelines contained in the Department of Official Language O.M. No.II/22034/04/86-OL(A-2) dated
22.1.1987 keeping in view the high level status of the Committee and in accordance with the prescribed
rates and rules as amended from time to time by the Government of India.
ORDER
Ordered that a copy of this resolution be communicated to all members, all State Governments and Union
Territory Administrations, President's Secretariat, Vice-President's Secretariat, Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet
Secretariat, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Niti Aayog, Comptroller
& Auditor General of India, Accountant General of Central Revenue, Committee of Parliament on Official Language
and all Ministries/Departments of the Government of India and Ministry of Coal and all Companies/ Subordinate offices/
Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies under its control.
Ordered also that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information.
