Tenure of the Samiti The tenure of the Samiti shall ordinarily be three years from the date of its constitution, provided that: A. B. C. D. A member of Parliament who is a member, of the Samiti, ceases to be a member of the Samiti as soon as he/she ceases to be a Member of Parliament. The Ex-officio Members of the Samiti shall remain members of the samiti as long as they hold their offices. If a vacancy arises in the Samiti due to death or resignation etc. of a member, the member nominated on the vacancy shall hold office for the remaining period of the Samiti. If a person is nominated as a member of the Samiti in the middle of its tenure, he/she shall be member of the Samiti for the remaining period. General The Headquarters of the Samiti shall be at New Delhi, but if considered necessary, it may hold its meetings at any other place also. TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES AND OTHER ALLOWANCES Travelling allowances and Daily Allowances would be paid to the non-official members of the Samiti for participating the meetings as per the instructions contained in the Deptt. of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in O.M.
