The Council's records indicated that these institutions failed to apply for statutory inspection for several years and were found deficient/unsuitable for conducting nursing programmes. Consequently, with effect from August 7, 2025, any person holding a recognized qualification from the Royal School Of Nursing (Irdeo Complex, Wangbal, Thoubal 795138), Manipur Nursing Institute (Tentha Thongkhong Bazar Wangjing, Distt. Thoubal 795148), Female Health Worker Training School (Near District Hospital, Distt. Bishnupur 795126), and Siroy School Of Nursing (Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam, Leikai), all located in Manipur, shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Manipur. No. 18-20/Govt./2024 - INC— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order: - Whereas, the following institutions located in the State of Manipur were recognized by the State Government and the Manipur Nurses & Midwives Council to conduct nursing courses. Whereas, a notice no. 18-20/Govt./2024-INC (63690) dated 08.11.2024 for withdrawal of recognition under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, was issued to Additional Chief Secretary (Health & FW) Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Manipur, Room 177 Manipur Secretariat, South Block, Imphal-795001, Manipur. A copy of the notice dated 08.11.2024 was also sent to the Manipur Nurses & Midwives Council. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit its recommendations to the Council regarding the suitability of the nursing institutions. Whereas, the Council has not received any remarks or recommendation from the State Government or the Manipur Nurses & Midwives Council regarding the suitability of the below-mentioned institutions. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. The Indian Nursing Council records show that these institutions have failed to apply for statutory inspection for several years and were found deficient/unsuitable for conducting nursing programmes. Now therefore, the Council, exercising powers under Section 14(3)(b) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, hereby declares that with effect from 07.08.2025, any person holding a recognized qualification from the following institutions shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Manipur.
