No. 18-23/Govt./2024 – INC.— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:— Whereas, the following institutions located in the State of Nagaland were recognized by the State Government and the Nagaland Nurses & Midwives Council to conduct nursing courses. Whereas, a notice no. 18-23/Govt./2024 - INC (63697) dated 08-11-2024 for withdrawal of recognition under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, was issued to The Principal Secretary (H&FW), Department of (H &W), Government of Nagaland, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Kohima -797001, Nagaland. A copy of the notice dated 08-11-2024 was also sent to the Nagaland Nurses & Midwives Council. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit its recommendations to the Council regarding the suitability of the nursing institutions. Whereas, the Council has not received any remarks or recommendation from the State Government or the Nagaland Nurses & Midwives Council regarding the suitability of the below-mentioned institutions. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. The Indian Nursing Council records show that these institutions have failed to apply for statutory inspection for several years and were found deficient/unsuitable for conducting nursing programmes. Now therefore, the Council, exercising powers under Section 14(3)(b) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, hereby declares that with effect from 07/08/2025, any person holding a recognized qualification from the following institutions shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Nagaland.
