L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-09042026-271660 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 239] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2026/CHAITRA 19, 1948 MINISTRY OF POWER NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th April, 2026 G.S.R. 259(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (2) and (3) of section 89 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Union Territories except Delhi (Salary, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Member) Rules, 2007, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Union Territories except Delhi (Salary, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Member) Amendment Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Union Territories except Delhi (Salary, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 2007, in rule 8, for the words, brackets and figures, "Contributory Provident Fund Rules (India), 1962", the words and figures, "Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952" shall be substituted.
