The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1087] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2024/PHALGUNA 17, 1945 CG-DL-E-09032024-252781 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 7th March, 2024 S.O. 1149(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 3116(E), dated the 12th July, 2023, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 13th July, 2023, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the land and all rights in or over the land measuring 1679.82 hectares (approximately) or 4150.84 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule appended to that notification; And whereas the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to the Central Government; And whereas the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the Government of Odisha, is satisfied that the land measuring 1679.82 hectares (approximately) or 4150.84 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such land as described in Schedule appended hereto should be acquired; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land measuring 1679.82 hectares (approximately) or 4150.84 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such land as described in Schedule are hereby acquired. The plan bearing number MCL/GM(HA)/L and R-I/2023/736-A, dated the 20th December, 2023 of the area covered by this notification may be inspected at the office of the Collector, District Angul, Odisha or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller Organisation, Ministry of Coal, Core-2, 5th Floor, Scope Minar, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-110092, or at the office of the Director (Personnel), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, Jagruti Vihar, Burla, District Sambalpur -768020, Odisha. Q-R: The line starts from point 'Q' and proceeds in western direction along the southern boundary of plot numbers 1006, 996, 997, 949, 658, 657, 654, 655, 653, 642, 644, 646, 647, 649, 968, 971 and 326 of Kumunda upto point 'R' which is situated on the trijunction boundary of village Kumunda, Kankarei, and Jaypur Reserve Forest. R-S-T-U-V: The line starts from point 'R' and moves in western direction to point 'S' on the southern boundary of Jaypur Reserve Forest proceeding further through points 'T' and 'U', on southern boundary of Jaypur Reserve Forest upto point 'V' which is the trijunction boundary of village Chotabereni, Sendhapal and Jaypur Reserve Forest. V-W-X-Y-Z-A: The line starts from point 'V' and proceeds through points 'W', 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' in Jaypur Reserve Forest along the western border of Balabhdra West extension coal block to join at the starting point 'A'.
