NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th January, 2025
S.O. 110(E).-Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that Coal is likely to be obtained from the land
in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
And whereas the plan bearing number BJ/Land Plan/22/47, dated the 4th June 2022 containing details of the
area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Director Technical (Project and
Planning), Eastern Coalfields Limited, Sanctoria, Post Office Dishergarh, District Paschim Bardhaman 713333, West
Bengal or at the office of the Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design
Institute Limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi, 834008, Jharkhand or at the office of Coal Controller, Coal
Controller's Organisation, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th floor, Core II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the
office of the District Collector, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule.
Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may
i. claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any
action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or
ii. claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Act in respect of prospecting licenses ceasing
to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and
deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the land to show the expenditure incurred in respect
of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of subsection (1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the officer of the Director Technical (Project and Planning), Eastern Coalfields Limited, Sanctoria, Post
Office Dishergarh, District Paschim Bardhaman, 713333, West Bengal within a period of ninety days from
the date of publication of this notification.

Boundary description:
The plots to be acquired lie within the polygons A, B, C, A and D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, D as mentioned in the plan
number: BJ/Land Plan/22/47, dated the 4th June 2022, the plots lie within mouzas Dendua (J.L No. 20), Basudebpur
(J.L No. 31) and Ramdi (J.L No. 19) under P.S- Salanpur, District Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal.
Aforesaid polygons are described below:
Polygon - A, B, C, А:
1. Line A-B: Line starts from point A, plot No. 672 of Ramdi Mouza, trends in west direction and reaches at
point B, plot No. 725 of Ramdi Mouza.
2. Line B-C: Line starts from point B, plot No. 725 of Ramdi Mouza, trends in south West direction and reaches
at point No. C, plot No. 645 of Dendua Mouza.
3. Line C-A: Line starts from point No. C, plot No. 645 of Dendua Mouza, trends in North East direction and
reaches at point No. A, plot No. 672 of Ramdi Mouza.
Polygon -D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, D:
1. Line D-E-: Line starts from point No. D plot No. 698 of Basudebpur Mouza, trends in south west Direction
and reaches at point No. E, plot No. 750 of Basudebpur Mouza.
