New Delhi, 6th November, 2023
S.O. No . 483 3 (E).—Whereas M/s Greenko AP01 IREP Private Limit ed, having its registered office at H.No
14 – 478/6, Sai Nagar, Panyam, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh – 518112, India, has applied for authorization under Section
164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line under “Connectivity syste m to be constructed
for contracted capacity of 900 MW solar based power project along with storage (capacity of 1500 MW solar and 450
MW X 6 hours of Pumped Storage Plant)”.
And whereas, Central Ele ctricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter
CEA -PS-11-21/1/2021 -PSPA -I Division -I/23082/2022 dated 03.08.2022 had granted prior approval under section
68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the overhead line covered und er “Connectivity system to be constructed for
contracted capacity of 900 MW solar based power project along with storage (capacity of 1500 MW solar and 450
MW X 6 hours of Pumped Storage Plant)”.
M/s Greenko AP01 IREP Private Limited had published notice f or transmission scheme in local newspapers
The Hindu (in English) dated 19.09.2022, Daily Hindi Milap (in Hindi) dated 24.09.2022, Andhra Jyoti (in Telugu)
dated 19.09.2022 and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 22.10.2022 for the general public to make
observations/representations on the proposed transmission ro ute within 2 Months from the date of publication.
Subsequently, M/s Greenko AP01 IREP Private Limited has submitted an affidavit dated 19.05.2023 declaring that no
observation/representation was recei ved within 2 months from the date of Publication in the official gazette of
Government of India.
And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity
Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possess u nder the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of
telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so
established or maintained for laying of electric lines under “Connectivity syste m to be constructed for contracted
capacity of 900 MW so lar based power project along with storage (capacity of 1500 MW solar and 450 MW X 6
hours of Pumped Storage Plant)”. The following overhead line is covered under this scheme:
1. 400 kV D/C transmission line from Pumped Storage Plant to Central Pooling and Sw itching Station (CPSS)
of Greenko AP01 IREP Private Ltd.
The transmission line covered under the above scheme will pass through, over, around and between the following
villages, towns and cities of Andhra Pradesh:

Now, after careful consideration, Ministry of Power, Government of India, under section 164 of the Electricity
Act, 2003, confers all the powers to M/s Greenko AP01 IREP Private L imited for laying above overhead line, which
telegraph authority possesses under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to placing of telegraph lines and posts
for the pur poses of a telegraph established or maintained, by Government or to be establish ed or maintained subject to
following terms and conditions for installing the above mentioned line, namely:
i. The approval is granted for 25 years.
ii. The Applicant shall have to se ek the consent of the concerned authorities i.e., local bodies, Railways,
Nation al Highways, State Highways etc. before erection of proposed line.
iii. The Applicant shall have to follow regulations/codes of the Appropriate Commission regarding transmission,
O&M, open access, etc., framed under the Electricity Act, 2003.
iv. The Applicant shal l operate the line after approval of Electrical Inspector / Chief Electrical Inspector of
Central Government.
v. The approval is subject to compliance of the requirement of the pr ovisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and
the rules made there under by the appl icant.
vi. M/s Greenko AP01 IREP Private Limited shall have to submit the requisite clearances to Central Electricity
Authority after obtaining the same from concerned authorities like Civil Aviation, Defense etc., at the time of
Electrical Inspection.
