Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, through a notification dated 6th October, 2025 (F. No. J-22018/12/2003-CSC(BC)Vol.III), announced the appointment of Shri Virendra Tiwari, IFoS (MH: 1990) (Retd.) as Chairperson of the National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai. This appointment, made by the President, is in pursuance of the Department of Personnel & Training's communication No. 31/1/2025-EO(SM.II)-02 dated 28.08.2025. Shri Tiwari's tenure is effective from the forenoon of 5th September 2025 and will continue up to 4th September 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He will receive a fixed scale of pay of Rs. 2,25,000/-. The notification is signed by Raghu Kumar Kodali, Scientist 'G'.
