NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th April, 2026 S.O. 1756(E)— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Anti-Hijacking Act, 2016 (30 of 2016), the Central Government, for the purposes of the said Act, hereby confers on the officers in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police to Deputy Inspector General of Police, National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs, the powers of arrest, investigation and prosecution exercisable by a police officer under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023). 2.
