INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL
WITHDRAWAL ORDER
New Delhi, the 3rd Febuary, 2026
F. No. 18-16/Govt./2024-INC:— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing
Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:—
Whereas, the following institutions located in the State of Kerala were recognized by the State Government
and the Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council to conduct nursing courses.
Whereas, a notice no. 18-16/Govt./2024-INC (63687) dated 08/11/2024 for withdrawal of recognition under
Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, was issued to The Addl. Chief Secretary (Health) Department of
Health & Family Welfare, Government of Kerala, Room No- 656, South Block, 3rd Floor Government Secretariat
Building, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, Kerala. A copy of the notice dated 08/11/2024 was also sent to the Kerala
Nurses & Midwives Council. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit its recommendations
to the Council regarding the suitability of the nursing institutions.
Whereas, the Council has not received any remarks or recommendation from the State Government or the
Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council regarding the suitability of the below-mentioned institutions.
Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. The Indian Nursing Council records show that
these institutions have failed to apply for statutory inspection for several years and were found deficient/unsuitable for
conducting nursing programmes.
Now therefore, the Council, exercising powers under Section 14(3)(b) of the Indian Nursing Council Act,
1947, hereby declares that with effect from 29/05/2025, any person holding a recognized qualification from the
following institutions shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Kerala.
