NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th June, 2025
S.O. 2501(E).— Whereas it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the land
in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
And whereas the plan bearing number NLCIL/MKCP/CBA/4/1, dated the 4th February, 2025, containing
details of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Executive Director or
Coal Co-ordination, Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited, Registered office No-135, EVR Periyar High Road,
Kilpauk, Chennai 600010, Tamil Nadu or Corporate Office at Block-1, Neyveli 607801, Cuddalore, Tamilnadu or at
the office of the Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited,
Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi 834008, Jharkhand or at the office of Coal Controller, Coal Controller's
Organisation, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core-II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the office of District
Collector, Angul, Odisha.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule.
Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may –
(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any
action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 of the said Act; or
(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting license
ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to
have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the land to show the expenditure
incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the office of the Executive Director or Coal Co-ordination, Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited, Registered
office No-135, EVR Periyar High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai 600010, Tamil Nadu or Corporate Office at Block-1, Neyveli
607801, District Cuddalore, Tamilnadu within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification
in the Official Gazette.

Boundary Description:
A-B: line starts from point 'A' in Similipal village and passes through Pipalbahal village and ends at point 'B' in
Sapoinali village.
B-C-D: line starts from point 'B' in Sapoinali village and passes through point 'C' and ends at point 'D' in Bagdia
village.
D-E-F-G: Line starts from point 'D' in Bagdia village and passes through points 'E', 'F' and ends at point 'G' in Bagdia
village.
G-H: Line starts from point 'G' in Bagdia village and ends at point 'H' inPodapada village.
Line E-F-G-H forms the northern boundary of the Mine.
H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O: Line starts from point 'H' in Podapada village and ends at point 'O' in Tentuloi kodasahi village.
H-I line passes through Machhakuta village, Machhakuta Jungle village and ends at point 'I' in Handigoda village, and
line continues from point 'J' in Handigoda village and ends at point 'O' in Tentuloi Kodasahi village.
Line H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O forms the eastern boundary of the Mine.
O-P-Q-R-S-T: Line starts from point 'O' in Tentuloi Kodasahi village and ends at point 'T' in Debinagar PRF. O-T line
passes through Tentuloi Kodasahi village, Handigoda village, Dhaurakhaman village, Deunriajharan village, Basantapur
village and ends at point 'T' in Debinagar PRF.
Line O-P-Q-R-S-T forms the southern boundary of the Mine.
T-U-V-W: Line starts from point 'T' in Debinagar PRF and ends at point 'W' in Similipal village.
Line T-U-V-W-A-B-C-D-E forms the western boundary of the Mine.
