L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-06042026-271583 EXTRAORDINARY PART IIโ€”Section 3โ€”Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1671] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, APRIL 6, 2026/ CHAITRA 16, 1948 MINISTRY OF POWER NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 4th April, 2026 S.O. 1738(E). - Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Power number S.O. 5665(E), dated the 8th December, 2025, (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) issued under clause (a) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001), the Central Government, inter alia, specified the norms for process and energy consumption standards for the star labelling for countertop induction hobs; And whereas in order to improve the energy efficiency, induction hobs were brought under the mandatory star rating regime applicable from 1st July,2026 onwards; And whereas the Central Government, being satisfied that the mandatory phase of the induction hobs may be postponed by six months. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, the Central Government, in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, hereby makes the following amendment in the said notification, namely:- In the said notification, in paragraph 3, in sub-paragraph (2), in the heading of Table 3.1, for the word, figures and letters "1st July, 2026", the word, figures and letters "1st January, 2027" shall be substituted.
