The Indian Nursing Council, by F.No. 18-15/14507-INC dated 15th February 2024, in exercise of powers under Section 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), issues a Withdrawal Order concerning Chethana School of Nursing, situated at Opp Devamatha School, II Cross, III Block, Tirumenahalli, Bangalore, District Bangalore 560077, Karnataka, which was recognized by the State Government of Karnataka and the Karnataka Nursing Council to conduct the GNM course; a notice dated 24/05/2023 for withdrawal of recognition under Section 14 was issued to the Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Karnataka, and to the institution, but neither the State Government nor the institution responded; based on an inspection report dated 21/12/2022 noting deficiencies in clinical and teaching facilities, the Council, exercising powers under section 14(3)(b), declares that, with effect from 04/08/2023, any person holding a GNM qualification from Chethana School of Nursing shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Karnataka, subject to the orders of the State Government of Karnataka; the order bears ADVT.-III/4/Exty./790/2023-24 and is signed by Lt. L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-06032024-252669 EXTRAORDINARY PART III—Section 4 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 139] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6, 2024/PHALGUNA 16, 1945 INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL WITHDRAWAL ORDER New Delhi, the 15th February, 2024 F.No. 18-15/14507-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:- Whereas, Chethana School of Nursing situated at Opp Devamatha School, II Cross, Iii Block, Tirumenahalli, Bangalore, Distt. Bangalore 560077, Karnataka is recognized by State Government of Karnataka and Karnataka Nursing Council to conduct GNM course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-15/14507-INC dated 24/05/2023 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Room No. 105, 01st Floor, Vikas Souda, Bangalore – 560001, Karnataka was issued. Copy of the notice dated 24/05/2023 was also enclosed to Chethana School of Nursing situated at Opp Devamatha School, II Cross, III Block, Tirumenahalli, Bangalore, Distt. Bangalore 560077, Karnataka. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Chethana School of Nursing. Even the institution Chethana School of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 21/12/2022 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) declares that with effect from 04/08/2023 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from Chethana School of Nursing situated at Opp Devamatha School, Ii Cross, Iii Block, Tirumenahalli, Bangalore, Distt. Bangalore 560077, Karnataka shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Karnataka subject to the orders of State government of Karnataka. Lt. Col (Dr) SARVJEET KAUR, Secy.
