L. -33004/99 EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4165] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY , OCTOBER 4, 2023/ ASVINA 12, 1945 CG-DL-E-05102023-249177 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 4th October , 2023 S.O. 4336(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3E read wit h section 7 of the Coal Mines Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1948 (46 of 1948), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme further to amend the Coal Mines Pension Scheme, 1998, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) This scheme may be called the Coal Mines Pension (Second Amendment) Scheme, 2023. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Coal Mines Pension Scheme, 1998, in paragraph 13 after sub -paragraph (2), the following sub - paragraph shall be inserted, namely: - "(3) After the death of an employee or pensioner, as the case may be, from the date following the date of his or her death, the son or daughter of such deceased person, permanently and totally disabled, shall be entitled to disablement pension till life or until getting regular employment in the Central or State Government, as the case may be, and the amount of monthl y disablement pension payable after the death of an employee or pensioner shall be equal to twenty -five per cent. of the amount of widow or widower pension for each disabled son or daughter, as the case may be, or not less than rupees one hundred and ten f or each disabled child or orphan".
