The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Act, 2023 (No. 13 of 2023), which received the President's assent on 4th August 2023 and was published by the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department), amends Part XX-Chhattisgarh of the Schedule to the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 by substituting entry 5 with Bharia Bhumia, Bhuinhar Bhumia, Bhumiya, Bharia, Bhuinya, Bhuiyan, Bhuyan, Paliha, Pando, inserting Dhanuhar and Dhanuwar after Dhanwar in entry 14, substituting entry 15 with Gadaba, Gadba, substituting entry 16 with an expanded list of Gond sub-groups, changing Kondh to Kond, Kondh in entry 23, retaining Kodaku in entry 27, inserting Kisan after Nagasia in entry 32, substituting entry 33 with Oraon, Dhanka, Dhangad, inserting Saunra and Saonra after Sawara in entry 41, and inserting a new entry 43, Binjhia, after entry 42, thereby including certain additional communities in the list of Scheduled Tribes for the State of Chhattisgarh; the Act was signed by Dr. Reeta Vasishta, Secretary to the Government of India.

THE CONSTITUTION (SCHEDULED TRIBES) ORDER (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2023 (NO. 13 OF 2023) [4th August , 2023] An Act further to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 for inclusion of certain communities in the list of Scheduled Tribes in relation tothe State of Chhattisgarh. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:— 1. This Act may be called the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Act, 2023. 2. In the Schedule to the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, in PART XX.—Chhattisgarh,— (i) for entry 5, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:— “5.
