NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th June, 2025
S.O. 2487(E). Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number
S.O. 3100(E), dated the 2nd August, 2024, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), and published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 2nd August, 2024, the Central Government
gave notice of its intention to acquire 825.00 hectares (approximately) or 2038.58 acres (approximately) of land and all
rights in or over such land specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to the
Central Government;
And whereas the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Jharkhand, is satisfied that the land measuring 825.00 hectares (approximately) or 2038.58 acres
(approximately) and all rights in and over such land as specified in the Schedule appended hereto should be acquired.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby declares that all the rights in and over land measuring 825.00 hectares (approximately) or 2038.58
acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such land as specified in the Schedule are hereby acquired.
The Plan bearing number NMDC/CD/ROHNE/CBA SEC (9)/25/04, dated 17th March, 2025 comprising the
area covered by this notification may be inspected in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand or
at the office of the Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited,
Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi-834008, Jharkhand or in the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controllers
organisation, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core-II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or in the office of the NMDC
Limited, Coal Division, 2nd Floor, JSFC Bhawan, Kadru, Ranchi 834002, Jharkhand or at the office of the NMDC Ltd,
10-3-311/A, Castle Hills, Masab Tank, Hyderabad 500028.
