NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd January, 2026
S.O. 17(E). — Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal, number S.O.
1372 (E), dated the 24th March, 2025, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition
and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of
India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 25th March, 2025, the Central Government gave
notice of its intention to acquire 202.113 hectares (approximately) or 499.42 acres (approximately) land and all rights
in or over such land specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the
Central Government;
And whereas, the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Madhya Pradesh, is satisfied that the lands measuring 202.113 hectares (approximately) or 499.42
acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such land as described in Schedule appended hereto, should be
acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that the land measuring 202.113 hectares (approximately) or 499.42 acres
(approximately) and all rights in or over such land as described in the Schedule are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number SECL/BSP/GM/(LandR)/Land/23, dated the 5th August, 2025 of the area covered
by this notification may be inspected in the Office of the Collector, Annupur (Madhya Pradesh) or in the Office of the
Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organisation, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th floor, Core-2, Laxmi Nagar Delhi
110092 or in the Office of the South Eastern Coalfield Limited (Revenue Section) Seepat Road Bilaspur 495006,
Chhattisgarh.
