The Ministry of Power, vide order S.O. 5152(E) dated 1st December 2023, in exercise of powers under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, conferred upon M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited), having its registered office at JSW Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, all powers that a telegraph authority possesses under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, for laying a 230 kV single circuit overhead transmission line (strung on a double circuit tower) from the company's generation switchyards to Karur PS (ISTS Substation), forming part of the transmission scheme providing connectivity to its 150 MW Wind Power Plant in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, following prior approval under Section 68(1) of the Act granted by the Central Electricity Authority vide letter dated 11.01.2023 and after the applicant's affidavit dated 13.10.2023 confirmed no objections were received to public notices published in April-May 2023; the approval, valid for 25 years, is subject to conditions including obtaining consents from local bodies, Railways and Highway authorities, compliance with Appropriate Commission regulations, operating only after approval of the Electrical Inspector/Chief Electrical Inspector, and submitting clearances from Civil Aviation and Defence authorities; the order was issued under F. 7467 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4927] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY , DEC EMBER 1, 2023/ AGRAHAYANA 10, 1945 CG-DL-E-04122023-250400 MINISTRY OF POWER ORDER New Delhi, the 1st December , 2023 S.O. 5152(E).—Whereas M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited), having its registered office at JSW Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra Ea st, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400051, India, has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line under “Transmission system for providing connectivity to M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JS W Future Energy Limited) for its 150 MW Wind Power Plant in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu”. And whereas, Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter CEA -PS-11-21/1/2021 -PSPA -I Division -Part(1)/I/25668/2023 dated 11.0 1.2023 had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the overhead line covered under “Transmission system for providing connectivity to M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) for its 150 MW Wind P ower Plant in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu”. M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) has published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers Trinity Mirror (in English) dated 28.04.2023, Dakshin Bharat Rashtramat (in Hindi) dated 01.05.2023, Makkaal Kural (in Tamil) dated 28.04.2023 and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 17.06.2023 for the general public to make observations/representations on the proposed transmission route within 2 Months from the date of publication. Subsequently, M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) has submitted an affidavit dated 13.10.2023 declaring that no observation/representation was received within 2 months from the date of Publication in the official gazette of Government of In dia. And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so established or maintained for laying of electric line under “Transmission system for providing connectivity to M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limit ed) for its 150 MW Wind Power Plant in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu”. The following overhead line is covered under this scheme: o 230 kV Single circuit line stringing on Double circuit tower from JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) generatio n switchyards to Karur PS (ISTS Substation). The transmission line covered under the above scheme will pass through, over, around and between the following villages, towns and cities of Tamil Nadu: S. No. Name of Villages Tehsil District 1. Dharapuram Tirup pur Now, after careful consideration, Ministry of Power, Government of India, under section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, confers all the powers to M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) for laying above overhead line, which telegraph authority possesses under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purposes of a telegraph established or maintained, by Government or to be established or maintained subject to following terms a nd conditions for installing the above mentioned line, namely: i. The approval is granted for 25 years. ii. The Applicant shall have to seek the consent of the concerned authorities i.e., local bodies, Railways, National Highways, State Highways etc. before erect ion of proposed line. iii. The Applicant shall have to follow regulations/codes of the Appropriate Commission regarding transmission, O&M, open access, etc., framed under Electricity Act, 2003. iv. The Applicant shall operate the line after approval of Electrical I nspector / Chief Electrical Inspector of Central Government. v. The approval is subject to compliance of the requirement of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made there under by the applicant. vi. M/s JSW Neo Energy Limited (erstwhile JSW Future Energy Limited) shall have to submit the requisite clearances to Central Electricity Authority after obtaining the same from concerned authorities like Civil Aviation, Defense etc., at the time of Electrical Inspection.
