L. -33004/99 EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4125 ] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY , OCTOBER 3, 2023/ ASVINA 11, 1945 CG-DL-E-04102023-249150 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd October , 2023 S.O. 4296 (E).—Whereas , it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto ; And whereas, the plan bearing number Rev/02/2023, dated the 29th June, 2023, containing details of the areas of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Central Coalfields Limited (Land and Revenue Department), Darbhanga House, Ranchi - 834029 (Jharkhand), or at the office of the General Manager, Central Coalfields Limited, Piparwar Area, District Chatra (Jharkhand), o r at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, District Chatra (Jharkhand), or at the office of the General Manager (Exploration Division), RI - III, Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi -834 031 (Jharkhand) o r at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller’s Organisation, Core -2, 5th Floor, Scope Minar, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi -110 092 ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisitio n and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) ( hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal in land described in the said Schedule ; Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may – (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub -section (3) of section 4 thereof; or (ii) claim compensation under sub -section (1) of section 13 of t he said Act in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub -section (4) of section 13 of the said Act, for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the said land to show the expe nditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act , to the office of the General Manager, Central Coalfields Limited, Piparwar Area, District Chatra (Jharkhand), or General Manager, Cent ral Coalfields Limited, Land and Revenue Department, Darbhanga House, Ranchi - 834029 (Jharkhand) within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
