VARA PRASAD, Under Secretary (PG) MINISTRY OF POWER ORDER New Delhi, the 24th June, 2026 S.O. 3480(E). - Whereas M/s NERES XVI Power Transmission Limited having its registered address at 415/2 Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, Sector-14, Sadar Bazar, Gurgaon, Haryana, 122001, India has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission lines under the transmission scheme “Transmission scheme for North Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XVI (NERES-XVI)”. And whereas, Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter No. 25-17/30/2023-PG dated 10.10.2023 had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the overhead lines covered under the transmission scheme "Transmission scheme for North Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XVI (NERES- XVI)". M/s NERES XVI Power Transmission Limited had published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers Arun Bhumi (in Hindi) dated 19.01.2026, The Arunachal Times (in English) dated 19.01.2026, The Assam Tribune (in English) dated 19.01.2026, Dainik Purvoday (in Hindi) dated 19.01.2026, Amar Asom (in Assamese) dated 19.01.2026 and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 14.02.2026 for the general public to make observations/representations on the proposed transmission route within two Months from the date of publication. Subsequently, M/s NERES XVI Power Transmission Limited has submitted an affidavit dated 18.06.2026, declaring that no comments/representations were received within two months from the date of publication in the Newspapers/official Gazette of Government of India. The approval is granted for 25 years. ii. The Applicant shall have to seek the consent of the concerned authorities, i.e., local bodies, Railways, National Highways, State Highways etc. before erection of proposed line. iii. The Applicant shall have to follow regulations/codes of the Appropriate Commission regarding transmission, O&M, open access, etc., framed under Electricity Act, 2003. iv. The Applicant shall operate the line after approval of Electrical Inspector / Chief Electrical Inspector of Central Government. 6 THEGAZETTEOFINDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] V. The approval is subject to compliance of the requirement of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made there under by the applicant. vi. M/s NERES XVI Power Transmission Limited shall have to submit the requisite clearances to Central Electricity Authority after obtaining the same from concerned authorities like Civil Aviation, Defense etc., at the time of Electrical Inspection.
