4188 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2753] NEW DELHI, MON DAY , JULY 3, 2023/ASHADHA 12, 194 5 CG-DL-E-03072023-246970 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd July, 2023 S.O. 2876 (E).—Whereas , it appears to the Central Government that coal is like ly to be obtained from the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto; And, whereas, the plan bearing number SECL/ BSP/GM( L and R)/LAND/ 03, dated the 4th April, 2023 containing the details of the area of land covered by this notification and described in the Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Collector, District Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) or at the office of the Coal Controller, Ministry of Coal , Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi – 110092 or at the office of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited ( Land and Revenue Department ), Seepat Road, Bilaspur -495006 , Chhattisgarh or Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi - 834031, Jharkhand. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule; Any person interested in the land described in t he said Schedule may - (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub -section (3) of section 4 thereof ; or (ii) claim compensation under sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting license s ceasing to have effect or under sub -section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the Officer -In-Charge or Head of the Department (Revenue), South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Seepat Road, Bilaspur -495006 , Chhattisgarh within a period of ninety days from the date of p ublication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
