The Ministry of Power, via this notification, establishes a Search-cum-Selection Committee in accordance with Section 3(3) of the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021. This committee is mandated to recommend suitable candidates to the Central Government for the appointment of a Technical Member for Electricity at the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL). The committee's composition includes Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge of the Supreme Court as Chairperson, the Chairperson of APTEL, and Secretaries from the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Ministry of Power as members. The Secretary of the Ministry of Power will serve as the Member-Secretary. The committee is responsible for recommending a panel of two names for the Technical Member position and for determining the procedure for making its recommendations.

In accordance with Section 3(3) of Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021, a Search-cum-Selection Committee is hereby constituted as follows for making recommendations to the Central Government for the appointment to the post of Technical Member for Electricity in the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) :- (i) Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.V. Viswanathan Judge of Supreme Court (ii) Chairperson, APTEL (iii) Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (iv) Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (v) Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Power Chairperson Member Member Member Member-Secretary 2. The Search-cum-Selection Committee shall recommend a panel of two names for appointment to the post of Technical Member of APTEL. 3.
